Position Summary: Responsible for census development and increasing our private pay referral base through professional relationships, ongoing education and community outreach opportunities. The key responsibility of the Community Relations Director is to increase community census. This position is responsible for monitoring all referral source satisfaction and outcomes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Direct sales experience in healthcare with demonstrated results
  • Experience in retirement, nursing home, or assisted living industry
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and goal-orientated
  • Computer literate

In this role, the Sales Director will focus on generating new leads through outreach in the community, plan marketing events, meet with prospects, tour prospects and lease apartments. Other duties will include completing reports, competitive studies, and tracking leads.

The IDEAL candidate has a long track-record of success in immediately and positively impacting the census and revenues in Senior Living communities. Maintain a data base of leads and opportunities to build and sustain a Assisted Living community resident census.

This person is primarily responsible for:

  • (1) Building and sustaining census within the assigned community,
  • (2) Counseling and guiding prospects and families through the sales process,
  • (3) Aggressively, appropriately and dynamically following up on all opportunities, and confidently closing the sale and securing the resident.
  • (4) A proven track record of success at closing sales.
  • (5) A minimum of 2 years experience selling senior housing.
  • (6) A minimum of 2 years college experience.
  • (7) Good computer skills, proficient with Microsoft office and the ability to learn new programs.
  • (8) Strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills.
  • (9) A leader within the community with an attitude for success.
